The Power of a Tie. What does your necktie say about you?
By Paul Fredrick.com
Essential to your wardrobe, the necktie brings all the elements of a man's outfit together. The necktie selection you make
indicates a great deal about your personality.
By traditional standards, dark ties with conservative patterns are considered more appropriate for business and are
thought to represent an honest work ethic. Some also believe that a dark tie evokes a sense of authority, since a blue shirt and dark tie resembles a military uniform.
Colorful ties with non-traditional patterns reflect a more adventurous and daring spirit. A man that can break dressing
conventions is viewed to be a person not bound by traditional thought.
Paul Fredrick carries a wide variety of neckties to suit your every mood. Look to Paul Fredrick to find the ties that best
portray how you would like the world to see you! |

Corporate Casual...Not just for Fridays, Anymore!
A dramatic shift to a casual dress code has quietly taken over most of the working world. Many business climates that
had previously required a shirt and tie have now transformed into more relaxed atmospheres.
Richard A. Martineau, Analyst - Technical Services for Quadramed Corp., located in Bethlehem, PA, explains what has
taken place in his office, "95% of my client and corporate contact is now via computer so the necessity of formal business dress in the office simply isn't there anymore. Our entire office is currently Business Casual five days a week."
What occurred at Quadramed is happening all over the country. Technology has changed the way we do business, and in
the process, how we need to dress to do business. Other factors, such as using a casual dress code as an incentive in attracting potential employees and keeping current employees content have also led to this change.
The new trend of Business or Corporate Casual carries a variety of different interpretations. For some companies,
wearing a polo and khakis is considered professional, while other managers may not view this style as appropriate for their business environment. Since Senior Management sets the tone for what is considered acceptable attire, emulating their style is the one rule of thumb that applies in nearly every corporate setting.
Browse through our online collection to find a wide variety of Business Casual options to match your particular office
needs. Whether you are looking for a dress shirt that will look sharp without a tie or a pair of chinos, Paul Fredrick has everything you need to dress for success in this new era of relaxed corporate attire. |
